WOW, I just received a message from our friend and supporter Wayne from Tauranga, NZ. Wayne received $200 donations on our behalf. Thank you so much Wayne for drumming up support for us, very much appreciated!!!

Help is on it's way ....

We have to have fundraisers for our little Nhu, the six year old girl who need heart surgery (see previous post).

I was listening to the radio Saturday morning ... then I had an idea, brooded over it, but finally grabbed the phone ... had to wait a while and there he was ... talking to me. And Yes, he agreed to come to the party ... so it'll be my big SECRET but all will be revealed soon ... and you will be invited!!! It was a fruitful morning !!! Thanks God!!!

Then on Monday a receive an email from Lauralee at CORPORATE FAME AUSTRALIA. Here is what Lauralee wrote:

Hi Matt.

I heard your story on Rhema yesterday regarding the little girl that needs surgery.

We would like to offer you our services by way of running a day of abseiling at $50 per person and all proceeds go towards the little girls operation.

Basically, you would have 20 abseil positions for sale at a discounted rate of $50 ... we would aim to fill the 20 spaces so as to raise $1000. You can let your church/ family/ friends know that they have the opportunity to abseil for $50 also help a very worthy cause.... a win/win so to speak, and good value for money.

We have done this several times for an orphanage in Bali & the Watoto orphanage plus raised much needed funds for Rhema FM... so it works really well!!

We need your H E L P !!!

Six months ago we met little Nhu at the Hope school for Hearing impaired children in Binh Thanh district, Sai Gon. We decided to include her in our educational support program.

Nhu's health is not good, she is suffering from congenital heart disease. We paid for an examination by a heart specialist. Nhu's aorta is too narrow and she might have problems with on of her heart valves. In other words, she needs an operation soon, the sooner the better.

Health: Not good. Nhu is always pale. She has congenital heart disease, had an operation to tie up the aorta when she was 13 months old. Now her aorta is too narrow and she needs surgery.
Besides her heart condition she also has another problem. Nhu saw a heart specialist and has to have an operation as soon as possible.

Family: Her father left the family. Nhu’s mother is bringing up two children on her own. She works as a cleaning lady in the neighbourhood to earn money. Her family is living in a rented house.

The local authorities confirm that Nhu’s family is poor and that they are living under difficult circumstances.
