He bought this hat with the writing: "DO YOU LOVE ME"

He had no idea what it meant. Diep translated it for him ... and everyone was laughing !!!

Then we asked him weather he has a girlfriend ... so he could show her the hat ... that's when he cracked up laughing !!!
Hai got a book with stories from the Bible.
All in all a good, but exhausting morning. The kids thanked us for our support and said they hope to see us again next year.

Visiting the Kinh Gay boys n girls

It was only a forty five minute car ride from My Tho ... and the first thing we saw when we arrived was this beautiful church, on a sunny Sunday morning.

It was a pleasure to see all the kids waiting for us. Sadly three of them were unable to come. Fr Duong welcomed the kids, then one of the girls greeted us; then it was up to yours truly to address the kids.

While all this was happening the girls were packing plastic bags with school goodies for the kids
Fr Duong speaking to the kids
Funny, it is always the same girls who speak, and she did very well.
Then we started the interviewing. We sent the kids outside, then calling them in one by one. It was good to see how they have grown and that they are strong and healthy. We asked them about their schooling, what they liked most, about the situation at home and if they were healthy.

First cap of the rank was Phan Thi, she is very good at school

Sarah handed her two booklets with stories from the Bible.

Then Thanh handed out the school exercise books and other necessities she bought for the kids!!!

One after the other they all came and talked to us, some a little shy at first, but when they heard the Vietnamese voices it was all good. Both Sarah and Thanh took turns to ask questions and then translated the answers given. We must say the kids in Hoa Dina are all doing really well at school, well most of them anyway. Keep up the good work boys n girls !!!

He was so cute ... talking about himself and school ...

The obligatory group photo ... two cuties in the middle

A small gift from Australia

Bye bye Hoa Dinh ...
It was pouring when we left ... that's why we had to take the group photo inside. See you again next year ...!!!

Bye bye Father Duong. See you again next year.

Two hours later we arrived back in Sai Gon. What a wonderful time we had and so good to see all those kids again.

WE WILL BE BACK !!!

ON THE WAY BACK MOST OF US FELT LIKE THAT LITTLE BOY  ... SLEEPING !!!
