Lots of preparations, organising a crew, cutting the onions, ordering the meat, buying soft drinks, sauces, bread ... Anyway, the sun was shining in Coolum, when we arrived at Officeworks it was pretty windy and it more or less blew all day.
Setting up, gazebo and BBQ ... tables, drinks, Helens home made goodies ... then Spence tried to get the barbie going. No luck ... We figured that the GAS bottle was empty. To cut a long story short ... Spence went and got the bottle exchanged, then we were coocking with Gas ... later on with oil ... but that is another story.
We had a wonderful crew ... 13 people alltogether ... Tom was on sizzling duty when we were coocking without gas ... fat was dripping on one of the burners ... and we had a nice little fire going. Tom had it all under control. Got the burnign tray out and we used one of Tillys towels to stop the fire.
Later Frank was our BBQ Master chef ... all went well and we made nearly $900 on the day. A big "Thank You" to all the volunteers, we very much appreciate your help!!!
