Monday, a rest day ... so we thought

Monday, 9th of Sep

A rest day ... so we thought. But we had so many photos to download, put on facebook and report on our blog ... so Matt was a busy bee.
Anyway, after three hours he went and go a massage. Very good, very relaxing ... and then after lunch straight back into processing and typing.

In the afternoon we could not help ourselfs .. we had to visit the Peace Village again. Meeting with Dr Thanh and Dr Thuy. Made an appointment for Thursday morning. Then we went with Dr Thuy upstairs to visit the kids ... wonderful to see them all again.
Diep is 9 years old is now going to school

Thao is a sweetie, here she is showing off her writing skills

A friendly smile from one of the nurses. Very clean kitchen.

Phuong works and lives at Peace Village.
Phuong was born with deformed feet, she could not walk. When she was four years old she was flown to Germany. Over a 4 month period her feet were operated on. She now can lead a normal life.

Little Nhu could not walk, she always stayed in her bad.
In April, our friend Patti worked with Nhu extensively. We were both flabbergasted to see Nhu walking around. Thanks to physio and Patti Nhu is now one of the kids ... no more bound to her bed.
Nhu interacting with other children
Earlier this year ... physiotherapy for Nhu. Thanks to Patti Nhu started walking when she was 5 years old.
Patti trying to motivate Nhu ... it's hard work and Nhu is hurting

At 6 pm we went to district 8 to join the opening of the new school year for the 8 children we support. Sadly we had to go home, we just saw the happy children ... They now started their second school year !!!
