Meeting at Hope School
Had our fist meeting at the Hope school for hearing impaired children in Binh Thanh district, Sài Gòn. Another taxi ride ... using GRAB taxi.

Before the meeting started we thanked both ladies for the beautiful flowers and the home made cake they brought to our hotel on Matt's birthday.
Discussing general business. No major items to discuss except for Nhat's health. He has a brain tumor.

Like every year there are changes, students finished school and are now doing vocational training at different schools. We discussed the situation at the school and also our commitments in Mekong delta.

This year we received a detailed report about the children / students we support. It gives us and also our sponsors a better idea of the progress of each individual student. We asked if we can interview each individual student on their own. Both Than and Diep agreed, we set a time for next Tuesday 10am.
Nhat, one of the students asked whether we will take them shopping again this year, and we agreed !!! Have not set a date yet. Not yet - a favorite expression often used by Vietnamese people.
We are looking forward to the opening ceremony of the new school year which is on Friday the 8th. Watch this space for a detailed report !!!
