Last night I was unable to access the blog, which was nerve racking. The error message stated that there was some spy ware problem with my computer and that I need to have it fixed. I was unable to do anything, so I left it and went to bed.
Another day … another error!!! Oh no!!! How can I fix it???
Anyway, when I attempted to load the blog this morning it worked!!!
Hurray!!! Not a bad start of the day!!!
After breakfast Matt went to visit Hoa Van Stone at the new premises. Courtesy of the hotel we had a mud map of the area. It took ¾ of an hour by taxi and it was a bit hard to find. Had to call Hoa twice as the taxi driver did not want to drive “off road” through a big, muddy puddle. The taxi driver wanted his money … $ 9, so he dropped me right at the door.
Meanwhile Uli went and booked our flights to Danang and back and met with Tam for a girly chitchat.
It was soo good to see Hoa again. He was outside in his wheelchair and we had a cool drink and a good chat. Hoa introduced me to all the helpers and we then started to clean up and set up everything for Saturday. It was hard yakka, but then we had a wonderful lunch. Nap free zone … prepared the whole ground for the Official Opening of the House of Grace orphanage this Saturday. Ten past four Mark gave me a lift to the main road … had a taxi in no time, got back home by a quarter to five, which was pretty good considering peak hour traffic, cost $9.5.
Now is admin time again … downloading all the photos and typing, typing, typing.
Tonight we go to STELLA’S, an up market Italian restaurant in Bui Vien Street. It’s run by an Australian. The food is excellent, cocktails and service too. George, the restaurateur always has time for a chat and a friendly “Thanq” when we leave.
Sunday night we went STELLA’S too, with Tam and Tam. The girls had a cocktail and the boys a beer plus four meals and the bill was still under $30!!!
Ciao ciao
Here are the photos. It was an interesting trip to say the least. Never been to this part of HCMC.
