28th of July ... It's been a hard day's night ...
At KLIA airport ... resting in between flights
28th of July … It’s been a hard days night !!!
Had a hard day yesterday … 25 hours on our feet. Left home at 3:15 driving to Coolangatta. Arrived 5:30 and dropped off our bags and luggage 78 KG !!! Then it was time for a nice breaky … watching the opening ceremony.
We left for Kuala Lumpur on time … and lucky us we shared three seats between us. As usual … time flies … quite the contrary. 8:15 it took to land in KL. Connection to Sai Gon four hours later. First to Maccers … so hungry … then Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf – coffee shop. At the gate we found one TV, ESPN Olympics, swimming, lots of Aussies glued to TV. Bruce MacAvaney commentating … feels just like at home !!!
Connection on time, and before plane took off the purser had problems with one passenger misbehaving, not far from us. Then it got worse, lots of foul language … and all in Aussie language.
Wonderful sunset above the clouds … again we had a spare seat in our row. And we needed it. We noticed a young woman was having difficulty breathing. Uli talked to her, she is scared of flying. She got worse when we had some turbulences. We then asked her to sit with us, Uli was holding her hand and calming her down. She was from Sydney, very brave woman, I would stay at home if I was suffering like she did. We both talked to her, so she was distracted and her panic attack vanished. When the plane landed she was as happy and thanked us.
Just after touch down this IDIOT started to walk around and locked himself in the toilet and swore again and again. To cut a long story short, we had to remain seated until customs and police officers came on board and arrested the guy!!!
In my 40 years of flying I have never witnessed anything like it. How embarrassing. I was very close to say something to the guy, but I was told to stay out of it. Guess who ???
Took a long time to get our visa on arrival … then we were able to collect our luggage, one bag was torn, but nothing missing. Our hotel car was waiting for us, off we went, and it was poring. At the hotel our friend KIM was waiting. Checked in and up to the room.
We close with another Beatles title: Now it’s time to say good night
