Day Three ... 30th of July ... Monday Monday

Day Three – Monday Monday …

Xuan, we met him again @ Commonwealth bank
29th of July … Monday, Monday !!!

Two things planned today:
- pay the Commonwealth Bank a visit and
- go to Hope School to find out about little Nhu.

At the bank, our usual contact, Miss Tram, the bank manager is on leave this week. We talked Miss Phong instead. She remembered us and when we gave her our business card she was  impressed what we do for her country. Even without looking we found someone who wants to support us if we have any problems. Isn’t that wonderful!!!.
Miss Phong set up internet banking for us. Big advantage … and very safe. Got a token as big as a small calculator, guess what colour it is???
On our way out we were approached by a young man. We had no idea who he was. It turned out that we had met Xuan in January in Tu Duc district at the Eden church. We chatted for about 15 minutes. Very interesting guy and his views about Eden matched 100% with ours. We exchanged phone numbers and will meet with Xuan soon.
We hopped in a taxi to go the Hope school. Met with Thanh and Diep. Main reason for this informal meeting was that to find out about “Little Nhu”. On Friday, Than, the principal  will go with little Nhu to the Heart clinic in district 10 where Nhu will have a checkup to see whether her throat infection has healed up and to find out when the operation is taking place. Appointment: Friday 7 AM!!! We then discussed general matters and how we can help. The commercial gas cookers in the kitchen are very old and need replacing. Cost: VND 14.000.000  ~ $ 680.
Late lunch, a little rest, then we went for afternoon tea around the corner. About 10 to five our friends Hien and Bob walked past with their daughter Minh Thi. We went to our hotel and had a good chin wag … and some presents, especially for Minh Thi. Tara and Lizzie gave us presents and a letter for Minh Thi.
We had a good time and dinner later on. Good to see our friends again!!! Later on watching the Olympics …  and surfing the net for a new blog … which is the one you are reading.
