Diep came to our hotel and we took a taxi to the Heart Institute. Impressive, nice buildings, lots of green around.
We had a wonderful time visiting Nhu ... the Vitanames pronounce it like our NEW ... only a bit stretched out. Yes, Nhu is fine, she was excited of cause. Before we handed over the food and other presents Uli got a Teddy out and Nhu was over the moon. Teddy came all the way from Coolum, Nhu's sponsors bought him for Nhu. Then we had some sweets, Milo, fruit drinks, bikkies and candies. Nhu did not know what to open first. She had some bikkies followed by MILO ...
We did not get to see a doctor ... but were told when the time is right NHU will have her operation. What can I say ... we just have to wait n see.
To compensate the mother because she has to buy food at the hospital (~ $ 7 per day) we gave her VND 2.000.000 ~ $$ 96,00. Also her mum can not work while Nhu is in hospital, so we will work out something with them. Nhu's father left the family some time ago.
